Matthew is an Economic Consultant at Dean Economics with three years’ experience providing economic analysis and evidence-based advice to public and private sector clients. He supports decision-making across policy, investment and strategic planning by applying economic concepts, quantitative analysis and modelling techniques to complex project and policy questions.
Matthew has particular experience in economic appraisal and business case development, including work prepared in line with MHCLG, DfT and HM Treasury Green Book guidance. He is experienced in assessing the economic rationale for investment, developing proportionate evidence bases, and identifying the costs, benefits and wider impacts of proposed interventions. Before joining Dean Economics, Matthew worked at WSP, where he supported a range of projects in the UK and internationally. This included work relating to economic development, sectoral analysis, low-carbon transition economics and major infrastructure schemes.
