Ewan is an economic consultant with a focus in strategic visioning, business case development, economic appraisal, and evaluation. Prior to joining Dean Economics, he worked as an economic consultant at Arup, contributing to multi-disciplinary projects across the built environment sector.

Drawing on experience from both UK and international projects, Ewan is skilled at translating complex economic data and theory into clear, focused insights, tailoring his communication style to suit both technical and non-technical audiences. He has experience preparing and writing business cases in line with MHCLG, DfT, DESNZ, and HM Treasury Green Book guidance, underpinned by a strong foundation in core economic appraisal techniques applied across multiple sectors, including major infrastructure projects.

Ewan brings particular value through his expertise in economic and financial modelling, having served as modelling lead on a range of projects delivered in accordance with modelling best practice.
